Reorder in a Few Taps, From Wherever You Are

If you buy from us on an account, the website does not show your pricing and does not make it easy to see what you bought last time. This does both — your items, your prices, a few taps to reorder.

It places truck orders on your delivery route, from a phone, and costs you nothing.

Why Bother

Less Work to Place the Same Order

Reordering takes seconds

Last week's order is right there. Tap what you need again, change a quantity or two, send it. Most orders are a rerun of the one before — this treats them that way.

In by 3 PM for your next stop

Get your order in before the 3:00 PM cutoff and it makes your next scheduled delivery day. The app shows you which day that is before you send.

Give your team access

Chef, manager, whoever runs the back door. Multiple people, multiple locations, all ordering from the same list and all seeing what was sent.

Your pricing, not list pricing

You see what you actually pay. Same numbers your rep quotes you.

Fewer wrong items at the back door

The order is written down, not repeated over a phone. Wrong pack sizes and near-miss substitutions get caught before the truck loads.

Custom and private label too

Items we print or pack for you sit alongside everything else. Reorder them the same way.

Website or app

Why Not Just Use shopatdean.com?

You can, and plenty of customers do. But the website has two limits if you buy from us on an account.

It shows website pricing, not yours. Your negotiated pricing does not appear there, so you are checking against a quote or calling to confirm. In the app you see your price on every item.

There is no easy way to see what you bought. Pulling up last month's order means digging. The app opens with your items already in front of you.

One important limit the other way. The app places truck orders only — deliveries on our own routes, within our delivery area. It is not for shipping and not for pickup.

Normal local delivery terms still apply, including the $150 merchandise minimum and the fuel surcharge. Ordering this way changes the effort, not the terms.

So if you need something shipped, want to pick it up at the counter, or you are outside our delivery area, that is a website order or a phone call. Most account customers end up using both.

Reordering

Most Orders Are Last Week's Order

That is the whole idea. Your list is built from what you actually buy — the paper goods you take every week, the chemicals you take every month, the odd item you only order in December. In your pack sizes, at your prices.

Open it, adjust the few things that changed, send. Nothing to search for, nothing to type, no item numbers to remember.

What that means in practice. A manager who started two weeks ago can put in the right order without knowing a single one of our item numbers, because last month's order is sitting right in front of them.

And when you do need something new, the full catalog is there to search. The regular items are just surfaced first, because that is most of what anyone orders.

Custom and private label

Your Printed Items Live There Too

If we print your cups, bags, napkins or boxes, those items sit in your list with everything else. You reorder them the same way you reorder a case of gloves.

No separate email to a rep. No digging up the last PO to remember what you ordered and how many.

Worth knowing. Custom items still run on their own lead times, and reorders on printed goods may need a minimum. Placing the order is easier; the production schedule is unchanged.

If artwork needs to change, that still goes through your rep.

Your team

More Than One Person Can Order

Add whoever needs it — the chef, the kitchen manager, the person who counts the walk-in on Sunday night. Each of them can order from their own phone, from the same list.

Everyone sees what was ordered and what is coming, so nobody double-orders and nobody waits on one person to get around to it.

Getting Started

Three Steps, Mostly On Our End

Step 1

Ask your rep, or email us

Mention it on their next stop, or email help.desk@shopatdean.com. We will confirm your account and which locations you order for.

Step 2

We build your list

We load your order history, your pricing and any custom items, and add whoever on your team should be able to order. All of that happens on our side.

Step 3

Start ordering

Open it, adjust the quantities, send. It reaches the same people who take your orders now.

Who this is for. Operators buying for their own business on a delivery route — restaurants, bars, schools, churches, care facilities, offices and contractors within our delivery area. Truck orders only — not for shipping or pickup. Not currently available to jobbers or resellers.

Questions

Before You Ask Us to Set It Up

Does this replace calling or emailing my order?

Only if you want it to. Plenty of customers use it for the routine weekly order and still call when they need something unusual, want to check stock, or would rather talk it through. It is another door, not a replacement for the ones you already use.

Is my pricing the same as what my rep quotes me?

Yes. It shows your account pricing, not list. If you see something that does not match what you expect, call us — that is a data question worth fixing either way.

Can I still order things I have never bought before?

Yes. Your usual items are surfaced first because that is most of what people order, but the full catalog is there to search.

What if I have more than one location?

Each location can be set up separately, with its own list and its own ordering. Tell us how your locations are organized and we will match it.

Who sees the order?

The same team that takes your orders now. It lands with us the same way — you are changing how the order gets to us, not who handles it.

Does it cost anything?

No. It is free for you to use — no fee, no subscription, no minimum tied to using it. Your pricing and your terms are exactly what they are today.

What platform is this?

We use Choco, an ordering platform built for foodservice. You do not need an existing account with them — if you already order from another supplier through it, we will simply appear alongside them.

Can jobbers and resellers use it?

Not at this time. It is set up for operators buying for their own business — restaurants, institutions, offices, facilities. If you resell our products, keep ordering the way you do now and we will let you know if that changes.

Can more than one person on my team use it?

Yes, and it is one of the better reasons to use it. Add the chef, the manager, whoever is at the back door. Each person orders from their own phone, from the same list, and everyone can see what was sent and what is arriving.

If you run several locations, each one has its own list and you can still see across them. The practical upside: ordering no longer depends on one person being at work.

What happens when an order is wrong?

Same as now — call us and we fix it. The difference is there is a written record of exactly what was ordered, so there is nothing to reconstruct from memory. Most of the arguments about who said what stop being arguments.

How is this different from ordering on shopatdean.com?

Two things the website cannot do for account customers. It shows website pricing rather than your negotiated pricing, so you are checking against a quote or calling to confirm. And there is no simple way to pull up what you bought last time — you are searching the catalog again from scratch.

The app fixes both: your pricing on every item, and your usual items already listed.

The trade-off is that the app is for truck orders only. Shipping, pickup and anything outside our delivery area still go through the website or a phone call.

Can I ship an order or pick it up through the app?

No. The app is for truck orders — deliveries on our own routes, within our delivery area, on the schedule your stop already runs.

Our normal local delivery terms apply: a $150 merchandise minimum, a $2.99 fuel surcharge, and commercial addresses only. Ordering this way does not change any of that. See local truck delivery for the full terms.

For shipping or in-store pickup, order on the website or call us.

What if I am outside your delivery area?

Then the app is not the right tool for you, since it only places truck orders. Order on the website and we will ship it. If you are not sure whether your address is on a route, ask us and we will check.

When do I need to order by?

The cutoff is 3:00 PM the day before your delivery day. Order before that and it makes your next scheduled stop. Order after it and you are on the one after.

Your delivery days depend on which route you are on, not on when you order — we run set routes five days a week, and every address sits on particular days. The app shows you the earliest date you can actually get, so you are not guessing. Full details are on our local truck delivery page.

Can I schedule an order ahead of time?

Yes. The calendar shows the delivery days available for your address, and you can pick any of them. Useful for holidays, a big event, or getting next week sorted before the weekend.

The dates you can choose are the days we already run your route. Ordering earlier does not add a stop. See local truck delivery for how our routes and delivery areas work.
